Parched Bride: Brooch Bouquet

I have been aware of  the brooch bouquet trend for a couple of years now, and I think it is so chic! What a great opportunity for personalization.

So what is it all about? You use brooches, pins, earrings, etc. to create a unique bridal bouquet. Check out some pics and get inspired.

I love this trend because it is totally customizable and you can have it forever. You can even dismantle your bouquet and use your brooch/pin/earring again.

Dami’s Tip:

  • If you would like your mom, grandma, loved ones to “walk down the aisle” with you, ask them to donate brooches for your bouquet
  • You can remember loved ones that have passed away by adding their piece of jewelry to your bouquet.

What a cool trend!

Cheers

Parchment Bridesmaids

So excited to launch the new bridesmaids collection!!!!

Thankfully, I am  married to a designer! If you have a style in mind, we would gladly try to recreate it.

I firmly believe that it is important to let your bridal party know how much you appreciate them, so why not create personalized cards that they could keep (even frame)for a long time and will always be a reminder of their participation in your big day. Check out some of the cards that we recently created in the PD workshop…more like guest bedroom in my NY apartment :)

~Thank You For Being My Hostess and Thank You for Being My Bridesmaids cards~

We recently completed these cards for a PD client. The back of this card featured a velvet textured print with pearl accents. Each card was personalized and the envelops were closed with ribbon bands!

A picture of the spread…

Here are some “Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” Cards. Perfect way to invite your friends to be part of your big day. This card also features the textured velvet backing with pearl accents.

Here is another “Thank You for Being My Bridesmaid” card.

So if you like, what you see please contact us today. Your bridesmaids/hostesses/ushers can thank us later ;)

Cheers

Welcome from Dami!

I am so excited to finally welcome you all to the world of Parchment by Dami (PD). In the last year and a half, I have had the pleasure of designing, gluing, scoring, and crafting all things paper.  At last, the time has come to launch this blog site and share with you what the PD team has been up, what we are currently working on and MOST importantly provide a hub where our future clients can learn and inquire about our services.

A little about Dami: I have always loved crafting and eventing (I know this word does not exist, but it should! I pretty much enjoy EVERYTHING that has to do with putting an event together) ever since I could remember. I always thought my passion was only teaching. I earned both of my degrees (Proud University of Houston & Columbia University Graduate) in Education, and I currently impart knowledge during the day and hussle hard with PD at night! My hidden passion surfaced during my college years(scrap booking with my sorority sisters) and late nights of creating valentines day cards and books for my hubby whom I reside with in NY!

A little PD History: The saying everything happens for a reason is true indeed. For my July 24th wedding (check out my wedding planning process blog and our feature in theknot magazine), I was “gifted” wedding invitations that never came to fruition. When I realized that I had to take care of my own invites I decided to make my own because, one it was late in the planing game and, I could not afford “the best,” so I created my own; Behold the birth of PD.

A little about the Parched Bride/Client:  A parched bride/client is simply an individual that is thirsty for modern, chic, and detailed paper goods. A “Parched Bride/Client” knows the importance of setting a fine prelude ahead of his/her event that will simply leave guests anxiously awaiting the big day.

So, as I conclude this inaugural post, I leave you with pics of my personal wedding invitation suite, PD’s premier collection, affectionately coined…The DaNi Collection!
